Favorite Songs

Principle #5 states that “Music is important”. I love music. Through the years there have always been certain songs that I have connected with, for one reason or another. I like to think of these songs as the soundtrack to my life. I will use this page to share those songs. My goal is to end up with a list of my 100 favorite songs of all time. This list is a work in progress. Even after the list reaches 100 songs, I will probably make changes from time to time.

Please read my thoughts on Sharing Music to learn more about my philosophy and my strategies for sharing my favorite songs with you while complying with copyright law and honoring the creative process of the artists who have written, produced, and recorded these songs.

  1. I also love music. I’ve always loved to sing (thanks to my momma, whose voice is heavenly). My children and I listen to music from just about any genre. My son right now is really into 80’s rock. He’s 8 years old. My daughter LOVES the music from “Frozen”, The Band Perry & any song from Disney Classics pertaining to the princesses. She’s 9 years old. Music has always touched my heart. I’m enjoying the original cast recordings from the Broadway hit “Wicked”, Carrie Underwoods’ “How Great Thou Art” (which is my favorite song that my mom sings), and also “Sing” by The Carpenters.
