Free Kindle Book!

Little Birdie bookI just published my first Kindle-only book on Amazon.com! It’s a short book entitled, A Little Birdie Told Me: Ecclesiastes at a Glance.

Starting about 2:00 AM on Monday, May 20, 2013, it will be FREE for five days!

Please go download your free copy and ask all your friends to do the same.

If you don’t have a Kindle device, you can download Kindle Reader software for your PC or Mac, and a Kindle Reader app for your smartphone or tablet. Amazon will bump up the price to $2.99 after the five-day giveaway, but they are allowing me to give it away for FREE for these five days.

So, why am I giving it away for free?

Three reasons.

Reason #1.

I am trying to establish myself as an author on Amazon prior to the release of my book Living with a Broken Heart (several months away). The more people who download the Little Birdie book, the higher it will rank on Amazon in its assigned categories. The higher it ranks, the greater the number of people who will see it. The greater the number of people who see it, the more exposure I gain as an author.

Reason #2.

I’m trying to build up a “posse” of followers for future Kindle books, including Living with a Broken Heart. I plan to publish several more of these short books over the next few months, and give them away free (for five days) in hopes of building an ever-growing following for when Living with a Broken Heart is released.

Reason #3.

I like free stuff! And I figure other people probably like free stuff, too. So that makes it fun to give away free stuff. You’re welcome!

Reason #4.

I like to write, and this gives me an outlet for my writing.

(OK, that’s four reasons.)

Another favor (or three)?

After you have downloaded your copy and encouraged all your friends to do the same, could I ask you to do me a favor?

  1. Read the book! It’s a quick read, and I think you’ll enjoy it.

  2. Go back to the book listing on Amazon and write a review. Please be honest in your rating. I’m not asking you to rate it five stars if you didn’t think it was a five-star read. The more reviews I get, the better. It helps me establish myself as an author on Amazon.

  3. Ask your friends to do steps 1 and 2.

From the bottom of my heart … THANK YOU!
