I am a sucker for patriotic music. I stand with my hand over my heart when the National Anthem is played or sung at a sporting event. Most of the time, I sing along. And most of the time, I get “goose bumps”.

Back in the summer of 2008, I received an e-mail with a link to a YouTube video showing a group of 5 very young girls singing an unbelievably amazing rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner” at a Texas Tech basketball game. I was literally moved to tears the first time I watched the video, and watched it numerous times. I still get goose bumps when I hear these girls sing our National Anthem.

These young ladies are known as “The Cactus Cuties”, from Lubbock, Texas. The YouTube video mentioned above has received well over 7 million views! They are, in my book, a true National Treasure. Prepare to be amazed!
